New Internal Medicine Clinic In Abu Dhabi

King’s College Hospital NHS Foundation Trust is pleased to announce plans for a brand new internal medicine clinic in Abu Dhabi. The clinic will be a joint venture between KCH Management Limited and a consortium of Emirati doctors and investors.

Located in the iconic Shining Towers building in Abu Dhabi City, the clinic will offer high quality ambulatory and day case procedures for both adults and children in the specialties of gastroenterology, including an advanced unit, hepatology, nutrition, gynaecology and internal medicine. King’s will oversee all aspects of the quality of care in the clinic as well as recruiting medical staff, providing visiting specialists from the UK and performance management services. The clinic is the result of a commitment by King’s to establish a long-term presence in the UAE and has been facilitated by UK Trade and Investment (UKTI) and health bodies in Abu Dhabi. It is anticipated that it will open in early 2014.

Mr Tim Smart, Chief Executive Officer of King’s College Hospital said “We are excited at this opportunity to contribute to the Abu Dhabi’s government’s plans to improve and expand the already excellent range of healthcare available here. We hope to establish long term relationships in Abu Dhabi which will enhance the care available to patients in the UAE.”

Covering 2500 square metres of prime real estate on the Podium level between the two towers, the Clinic will provide a spacious and welcoming environment for patients. State of the art equipment combined with some of the World’s leading physicians will ensure top quality healthcare is provided within the UAE. In addition, expert second opinions and accelerated referral pathways to London, if required, and expert follow up care will benefit patients with more complex conditions.
